::his cuteness::

Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE Fall?! Sure hope so, 'cause I do. It's nice to live somewhere that has the beauty of all four seasons; however, I wish it was only three...I could skip winter. Just give me Christmas and I'm good. Any who...I just wanted to post some pictures of Krugh from Halloween. Keith and I didn't dress up...we were going to, but decided to save the money and do it next year. Our plans were Keith as King Trident, me as Ariel, and Krugh as Sebastian, OR Keith as Lieutenant Dan, Krugh as Forest Gump, and me as either Jenny or Bubba. Who knows, maybe next year you'll see some amazing costumes :) but for this year, Krugh was a bear....a very very cute bear.

We sort of had plans to go out...butthey fell through. So, we rented a redbox and stayed in for the night...which is always a good time :) No trick-or-treaters came to our door, guess it's a little to hidden. Oh well...a bowl of tootsies for us!

P.S.
I will be all caught up with this blog after this post...HOORAY! Then I'll stay on top of it...pinky swear.

Love.
Keri

::more tid bits::

So, I left quite a few things out of that last blog {it was getting so long and I was getting way too impatient!} Something pretty monumental that I left out happened about two weeks ago...

On October 25th, Keith and I celebrated our
one year anniversary
<3

The celebration started out on kind of a sad note...Keith informed me a few months back that he needed to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam {a national certification exam}, and that they only offered it twice a year...this year it happened to fall on October 24th...the Saturday of our anniversary celebration ::sadness:: So, the Friday before his exam, we headed up to Logan, UT where he'd be testing. On our way out of town Keith noticed the tent-filled parking lot at the LaVelle Edwards Stadium for the BYU v. TCU game, and expressed how disappointed he was that we'd be missing the game. I'm pretty sure I shot him a dirty look at this point...bummed about the game, but hardly cares about our anniversary..typical guy I thought. Keith had promised we'd do something the following weekend, so I wasn't terribly bummed out. On Saturday, Keith left early in the morning to start his 8 hour test ::ew::, and I stayed with Aunt Trudy and Bailey and chilled all day with Krugh. It was pouring, and a perfect day for hot cocoa and visiting.

When Keith was all done, he picked up me and Krugh and said he wanted to drive through Park City on the way home...He wanted to hit up a sports bar and watch the game. It sounded fun, so I said ok. About an hour later, Keith informed me that he needed to make a phone call...to check into our room. {our room?!} And then let me know he had packed an extra bag of clothes for me, and that we'd be staying until Monday...YES, my husband is the cutest known to mankind! I was so suprised! He did such a good job! We stayed at the Silver King ::awesome::, and just chilaxed all weekend. It was so wonderful :)

Our room was so awesome...Keith really did a great job!
The kitchen was nicer than ours at home, lol

::family shot::
i love these boys

After spending a day in Park City, we decided to get some frozen pizzas for din-din and chilax in our room. We had pizza and bubbly to celebrate and watched the Angels play the Yanks.

Thanks, babe, for an amazing weekend and an even more spectacular first year of marriage.
I love you so much <3

"It was no accident, me finding you. Someone had a hand in it long before we ever knew.
Now I just can't believe you're in my life...Heaven's smiling down on me as I look at you tonight. So, I tip my hat to the Keeper of the stars.
He sure knew what He was doing when He joined these to hearts.
I hold everything when I hold you in my arms. I've got all I'll ever need
...thanks to the Keeper of the stars"

::catch up?? yes, please::

Ok, so it's been a while since we've blogged...over a year. Keith left me in charge of our second post, and let's just say I'm not much of a "blogger." However, MUCH has happened in the last twelve months, and I finally feel like I have something worth blogging! I'll do a little recap and bring you all up to date on the adventures of Keith and Keri, [deep breath] so here it goes....

We got married...

The wedding was beautiful, and the reception was pretty much a huge party. I don't think it could've gone better! We didn't really have a honeymoon, though...I would've changed that part for sure! Since we got married mid-semester, Keith had to be home so he could jump back in to classes. We got two nights in a luxury suite, then it was off to Provo to start our new life! We ended up getting to our basement appartment around 1am...yuck...and unloaded the car and passed out. Keith picked out our appartment all by himself, and I must say he did a fantastic job! Our little place is so open and cute. It definitely beats a lot of basement appartments I've seen before! So, we got all settled in...and then life really started. I was taking online courses through UNLV and job hunting...so I was home ALL THE TIME. Keith was busy with school, and working for a couple professors on campus...so he was busy ALL THE TIME. It made things kind of hard at first, not to mention this was my first time living away from home...talk about homesick! My poor mom got a phone call at least once a day (if not five times) of her baby girl bawling her eyes out, lol. I was pretty pathetic to say the least. But as Keith and I got used to our new life and learned how to juggle our time, we grew closer together and being away from home became less difficult (of course it still is, and will always be, hard for me to be away from my family <3). onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_sweekn3kqJc/SqbUSVBRp2I/AAAAAAAACDI/3LTNH8My7ek/s1600-h/2008+058.jpg">school work and we didn't get out much, it seems like every time we finally sat down together we were laughing. I only have a few pictures of random times we practically peed (pee-ed, pee'd ???) our pants...but here they are! This first one was shortly after we moved in. We had finally unpacked everything and I was taking out all the empty boxes and trash. Keith couldn't get over how "hott" I looked, took a picture, and wouldn't stop teasing me! I think he was laughing a lot more than I was, but when I tried walking through the door with all the bags and struggled to squeeze through we were both rolling! Our next little adventure wasn't too long after. Before we went out and bought silverware we only had 4 spoons, forks and knives, so I really had to stay on top of doing the dishes or we wouldn't have any utensils. Well one night I didn't get around to the dishes and in the morning when Keith went to eat his "poise" (short for poison, his term for cereal), there were no clean spoons...he found that a measuring spoon works just fine. Pretty sure I peed my pants a little that day. Other fun activities we found to keep us entertained included me throwing food items across the room and Keith catching them in his mouth (he did best with grapes), building fires in our fireplace and forgetting to open the hood (our house smelt like bonfire for weeks, oops), and when we were REALLY bored we'd entertain ourselves with an ugly face contest. I've been known to pull the ugliest faces known to man...it's like a gift or something...but Keith showed me some true competition! I felt like his were more cute and funny than hideous...but he's still a great competitor :)

The Holidays...and the Shocker

We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in Henderson with family. Thanksgiving with my parents and Christmas with Keith's. It's always so much fun to see everyone and spend time with our families...HOWEVER, since our parents live five minutes away from each other, we ended up driving back and forth and eating every meal twice. Keith and I realized the holidays are VERY dangerous for us! I found it strange though that when Christmas came around that I felt like I NEEDED to be eating all that food. I was also very tired...nauseated...and grumpy. Needless to say, on January 2nd we took a pregnancy test...and bum bada bum...we're pregnant! This was completely unplanned, Keith and I wanted to wait a few years...but we all know how God laughs at our plans :)

Fast Forward...
All I'm going to say is that I was NOT a fan of pregnancy...so we'll fast forward to my blogging inspiration!

I was due September 8th, 2009, and on August 31st I was not in the mood to wait any longer. I went on a long walk around 8p.m. and to my surprise I started having contractions. HOORAY! The contractions became more constant at 10, and by 11 they were a minute apart. I had convinced myself that I'd probably go past my due date, so I kept telling myself it was false labor and nothing to worry about. Finally, around 1a.m. I couldn't take it any more and I was checked in at the hospital at 2. Well...labor was a bit difficult...I wanted to be tough, but I finally asked for the epidural at 7:30a.m. (weak sauce, I know) I didn't get it until two hours later...and still was only dilated at 2cm. For some reason I just wouldn't dilate. So, at about 2p.m. the doctor told us that he'd come back in an hour and if I wasn't dilated, we'd start talkin c-section. I freaked out, and Keith gave me a blessing. When the doctor came back I'd gone from a 3 to a 5 -Thank You, Lord!! It wasn't long after that our precious baby boy was born. Apparently the first thing I said was, "He looks like a little old man." Pretty moving, huh? Haha.

September 1st, 2009 5:55p.m.

Only ten months after getting married, Keith and I officially became parents. Wow. It was amazing and terrifying at the same time. We decided to name him Krugh Murdock Stolworthy, and he is the center of our universe. It's amazing how you can fall so deeply in love with this little bitty human you just met. When I was telling my mother-in-law about this new love I was learning, she asked me if I had realized that my mom loved me that same way. Wow. AND THEN to take that one step further, and realize that Heavenly Father loves me even more. Wow. It's such an overwhelming love, and to think that someone else loves you that same way, and that God loves you so much more....it takes you to your knees. What an undescribable feeling, and what a blessing. I am so grateful for my husband and my healthy baby boy...and especially grateful for my loving Heavenly Father who gives such an unworthy soul so much love.

KRUGH
Ok...so I don't even know where to start with this handsome little fella...he smiles, he coos, and he's got our undivided attention! Krugh is two months old now, and he's grown so much already.
I've decided that I'll just post a link to a bunch of pictures for now, and that I'll do my best to post updates regularly. I'll try to make this more than a yearly thing, lol.

K&K Beginnings

Since this blog thing seems to be the most efficient method of mass communication of life-updates, we set up a blog... Yay! We were married on Saturday, October 25, 2008, in the LDS Las Vegas Nevada Temple. Anyways, this is us--Keri and Keith Stolworthy.

So, our meeting was a typical young LDS single-student encounter - in our singles ward. However, it was everything but the typical dating scene that we were BOTH familiar with. Despite our differences, we are each individually convinced that we were supposed to have met this summer (2008) and even find some irony that we knew all the same people, yet not each other. Rather than complain about not befriending sooner, we see the historical absence as the time we were able to be shaped into the people we are now and which brought us to where we are today (and will be forever)--with each other. From the very beginning until now, our time together has consisted of endless hilarious moments that keep the smiles reciprocating, along with strengthening spiritual experiences that have brought clarification to past experiences, and an ongoing excitement and appreciation for today (and all the tommorows) that we have each other.

Keri and I started with some little talk at church, just in passing, because I knew Keri's older brother, Clayton. I was hoping to get connected with him again since I hadn't seen him since high school. The little talk didn't last long though. Within a few weeks of first seeing each other, our ward went on a trip to L.A. to see a Dodger's baseball game, and Keri and I finally had a chance to talk and get to know each other. We both realized soon after though that we would become a lot more than just friends. After only spending a little time together we both recognized a connection; it was almost like an innate trust that we could speak to each other on all levels - superficial and personal.

We went on our first date a few days following the California trip, followed by some consecutive nights of spending time together, and exclusively started dating 1 week later. So, it was not much of a surprise to either of us when only about 2 months past before we were officially engaged. Especially because we have both confessed--even if it was merely a small impression--that we knew very early that we found the person we would marry. We didn't know we were looking for each other, but little time was required for those similar thoughts that frequented both our minds to be proved true - that we had indeed found our future spouse.

Well, we got engaged on August 23, 2008 - Keri got a big rock and a welcome into an equally big family, and I got a beautiful (soon-to-be) bride along with the approval from an amazing family. As wedding plans rolled forward and plans started to be made, I left for school--just 1 week after getting engaged--to start my last semester at BYU. We were definitely happy that we didn't wait until the end of the semester, in December, to be married--especially because we had to do the whole long-distance thing. Anyways, this is the beginning for us. This is our blog. Enjoy!
